In development · Open to design partners

After the loan is booked, the work has just begun.

Almami is the second half of the Mansa pipeline. Once a loan moves out of Castel and onto your books, Almami monitors repayment behaviour, surfaces early warning signals, and triggers interventions before a dossier turns non-performing. Currently in development.

Where we are

Almami is in active design with a small group of partners across West Africa. We are deliberately not productising it yet — the people who will use it daily are helping us build it. If you run a credit portfolio at scale and want a seat at that table, write to us.

01 — What Almami will do

A portfolio that monitors itself.

01

Repayment monitoring

Continuous read of repayment behaviour against the modelled trajectory. Variance flagged the moment it appears — not at the next monthly cycle.

02

Early warning signals

Behavioural shifts in mobile money flows, supplier payment cadence, or counterparty patterns surfaced as forward indicators of delinquency, not just lagging ones.

03

Automated interventions

Configurable interventions — outreach, restructuring proposals, escalation to risk officer — triggered before a loan crosses into NPL territory.

04

Reporting and audit

Portfolio-level reports aligned with international standards (IFRS 9 staging, vintage analysis), with the same audit trail Castel produces at origination.

02 — Paired with Castel

Origination and portfolio, one ledger.

When a loan is approved by Castel, every signal that contributed to that decision — the data, the score, the attribution, the analyst's notes — carries forward into Almami. The portfolio model can therefore reason about a borrower's evolution against the assumptions made at origination, rather than starting from zero on day one of the repayment.

We are working with a small number of lenders to shape Almami before launch. If you manage a credit portfolio and want input into the product that will manage it, we would like to hear from you.
